Unit 19 was founded in 2009 by ex reallife tank commander Eric Dutch, along with Miu and Canis.
The concept was to create a platform for other players with reallife crew experience and/or people who are keen on tank (games) in particular. Quality always stood above quantity. In order to keep weekly activities, Unit 19 provided their specilalisation in operating armor to other groups. In the first year the group expanded to 13 full members and had supported groups in numerous PVP en Coop events. In 2011 Unit 19 had became a known concept/group in the Arma community. This same year, was the birth of the concept Rolling Thunder, which brought Arma tank play to a bigger public. Unfortunately, due to increasing work and other priorities, CEO and founder Eric had to step down. Fishbone, his right hand since the very early days, could not take over the CEO position due to similar circumstances. After meetings, the group decided to maintain the reputation and memories as they were still good, and so Unit 19 was disbanded. The former members still participate together on events, but on a non-official basis.
